Moving towards a sustainable future

Climate change is now a widely accepted problem. The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states that global carbon emissions must be reduced by 80% before 2050 to avoid catastrophic consequences.

Moreover, according to environmental think tank the World Resources Institute, transport currently makes up 14% of worldwide carbon emissions.

For many global companies there is now a clear moral imperative to move towards more sustainable practices. This imperative is quickly becoming a commercial one too, as customers and other stakeholders subject businesses’ environmental credentials to ever increasing scrutiny.

At the same time, as oil prices move upwards and the costs of mobility become greater, there are other clear commercial incentives to examine ways to achieve greater sustainability and improve the environmental performance of your fleet.
